August 2024 Zachary, I only wish that my dad, your great grandpa, could have met you. He doted on your dad and your uncle when they were your age. He had the good fortune to be with them as they were growing up, becoming men, enjoying golf as he did. He would have double-doted on you, on Alex, on Dax, if he could have hung around a little longer. He left us in the month of August too, a time of year when much is going on, in the garden, in the mountains and fields, on lakes and rivers and swimming pools, a time of year when it's good to be young and carefree. For you, Zachary, I wanted you to become a great grandfather one day just like your great grampa. You would be a much loved and benevolent one, guaranteed.
